51 11 156 Removing and installing front bumper panel (X6 2015-2019)

Remove seal (1) and unscrew bolts (2).

Tightening torque 51 11 1AZ .

Remove rivet (1) and marked screws.

Installation note:

Fit new rivet (1).

NOTE: Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.

Release wheel arch trim (1) from catches in area of bumper trim panel.

Partially release wheel arch cover and fold it aside.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 11 2AZ .

Detach bumper trim panel from side panel at the side.

NOTE: Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 11 3AZ .

Lift bumper trim panel (1) over guide (2).

Pull bumper panel (1) slightly towards the front with aid of a 2nd person.

Unfasten and disconnect all electrical connectors and, if necessary, headlight washer system connection.

Remove the bumper panel (1).
