51 24 105 Removing and installing/replacing tailgate lock (X6 2015-2019)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TRIM ON TAIL PANEL .

Removal: 

Disconnect cable (1).

Disconnect plug connection (2).

Loosen screws (3) and remove tailgate lock (4).

Installation: 

Attach cable (1).

Connect plug connection (2).

Install tailgate lock (4) and tighten screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 1AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install TRIM ON TAIL PANEL .
