51 12 828 Removing and installing/replacing guide for bumper, rear left or right (X6 2015-2019)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Remove expanding rivets (1) from wheel arch.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Remove guide (3).

Right side only:

Detach electrical connector (1) and cable retainer (2).

Installation:

NOTE: Latch mechanisms of guide (1) must not be damaged or missing.
Replace faulty sheet metal nuts (2).
Replace defective sealing ring (3).

Right side only:

Fasten plug connection (1) and cable clip (2).

Install guide (3).

Tighten down nuts (2).

Tightening torque 51 12 3AZ .

Mount expanding rivet (1) into wheel arch.
