Removing and refitting (replacing) left headlight (ALC) (X6 M)
WARNING:
Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high voltage!
Before removing, disconnect all components from the voltage supply (lighting system and ignition off).
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (control unit, ignition device with bulb) may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Observe SAFETY INFORMATION ON HANDLING BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

Observe SAFETY INFORMATION ON HANDLING BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove FRONT BUMPER PANEL .
Slacken both screws (1).
Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .
Slacken both screws (1).
Tightening torque 63 12 1AZ .
Unlock and disconnect relevant connectors.
Remove headlight (2) forwards.
Installation note:
US version: CHECKING BLOCKING AT HORIZONTAL position
Observe BODY DIMENSIONS .
Adjust HEADLIGHTS .
Replacement:
- Remount IGNITION DEVICE/BULB FOR XENON HEADLIGHTS .
- Remount CONTROL UNIT FOR XENON HEADLIGHTS .
- Remount HEADLIGHT DRIVER MODULE .
- If necessary, remount BULBS .
