12 41 031 Removing and installing/replacing toothed belt starter motor (N20 hybrid drive)

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life
Compliance with the following points is mandatory before beginning work:

Observe SAFETY INFORMATION for handling electric vehicles.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Switch off ignition.
Remove TOOTHED BELT FOR STARTER
Remove INTAKE PLENUM

Removal:

Unlock and disconnect plugs (1).

Release nuts (2) and disconnect positive battery cables.

Release screws (1).

Feed out toothed belt starter (1) following the arrows and remove.

Installation:

Feed in toothed belt starter (1) following the arrows and install.

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 12 41 1AZ .

Attach and lock connector (1).

Connector (1) must snap audibly into place.

Tighten positive battery cable and nut (2).

Tightening torque 12 41 2AZ .

Required follow-up work:

Install INTAKE PLENUM
Install TOOTHED BELT FOR STARTER
