12 42 500 Replacing positive battery cable between toothed belt starter motor and positive battery connection point (N20 hybrid drive)

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life
Compliance with the following points is mandatory before beginning work:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Unlock and disconnect plugs (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Thread out valve (3) and place to side.

Fold back cover (1).

Release nut (2) underneath and thread out positive battery cable.

Unlock and release clamp (3).

Release nut (4) on toothed belt starter motor.

Feed out positive battery cable (5) and remove.

Installation:

Feed in and install positive battery cable (5).

Tighten nut (2).

Tightening torque 12 41 3AZ .

Secure cover (1).

Tighten nut (4) on toothed belt starter motor.

Tightening torque 12 41 2AZ .

Lock clamp (3).

Feed in valve (3) and install.

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 12 41 4AZ .

Attach and lock connector (1).

Connector (1) must engage audibly.
