12 51 210 Replacing wiring harness section for ignition and injectors (N20 hybrid drive)

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life 
Compliance with the following points is mandatory before beginning work:
IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Overview of wiring harness section for ignition and injectors:

Thread sound insulation (1) out of ball head (2) and place to side.

Feed out acoustic foam (1) towards the top and remove.

NOTE: This procedure is applicable to all cylinders.
Unlock connector fastener (1) on the ignition coil in the direction of the arrow.
Remove connector (2) in the direction of the arrow.

NOTE: This procedure is applicable to all cylinders.

Unlock and loosen connector along the arrows on the injector.

Loosen nut (1) and remove ground cable.

Unlock and loosen connector (1) from the control unit in the direction of the arrow.

Release wiring harness from clamps (1).

Unlock retaining lug (1) in direction of arrow.

Pull cable channel (2) from cylinder head cover.

Pull out and remove wiring harness section for injectors and ignition coils.

Installation: 

Insert and install wiring harness section for injectors and ignition coils.

Insert and install cable channel (2) on the cylinder head cover.

Retaining lugs (1) must audibly engage.

NOTE: This procedure is applicable to all cylinders.

Connect and lock connector along the arrows on the injectors.

Connectors must snap audibly into place.

Insert ground cable and tighten nut (1).

Tightening torque 12 52 2AZ .

NOTE: This procedure is applicable to all cylinders.
Install connector (2) in the direction of the arrow.
Lock connector fastener (1) on the ignition coil in the direction of the arrow.
Connector fastener (1) needs to engage audibly.

Connect and lock wiring harness to the clamps (1).

Connect and lock connector (1) from the control unit in the direction of the arrow.

Connector (1) must engage audibly.

Feed in and install the acoustic foam (1).

Thread sound insulation (1) into ball head (2) and install.
