17 11 103 Removing and installing/replacing coolant expansion tank for low temperature circuit (N20 PHEV)

WARNING: High-voltage system - risk of serious injury or death.  Observe SAFETY INFORMATION for working with electric vehicles.
WARNING: Risk of scalding!
Only carry out repair work on the cooling system after the engine has cooled down!

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Release sealing cap (1).

Draw off coolant with standard pump.

Unlock coolant line (1) and release.

Slacken nut (2).

Lift expansion tank (3) off the rubber mount.

Unlock coolant line (1) and release.

Remove expansion tank (2).

Installation: 

Connect coolant line (1) and lock.

Coolant line (1) must audibly engage.

Feed expansion tank (2) into the rubber mount (3) in direction of arrow and install.

Connect coolant line (1) and lock.

Coolant line (1) must audibly engage.

Tighten nut (2) on expansion tank (3).

Tightening torque 17 10 4AZ .

Top up coolant up to maximum mark  .

Close sealing cap (1).
