63 12 860 Replacing control unit for left xenon headlight

WARNING: Version with xenon lighting system: Danger to life due to high voltage! Prior to removal, disconnect all components from voltage supply.
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (ignition device, control unit and bulb) may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Observe SAFETY INFORMATION ON HANDLING EXTERIOR LIGHTS .

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LEFT HEADLIGHT

3 Release bolts (1).

Tightening torque 63 11 1AZ .

Pull control unit for xenon headlight (2) from headlight.

Installation note:

Make sure gasket (2) is seated correctly on control unit for xenon headlight (1).
