51 11 141 Removing and installing/replacing lower section at front bumper panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release latch mechanisms (1) and carefully remove air duct (2).

NOTE: Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.

If necessary, unlock and disconnect plug connection at ultrasonic sensors.

Release the expanding rivets on the side of the lower section of the bumper panel (1) left/right.

Release latch mechanisms (2) and remove lower section of bumper panel (1).

Installation note:

expanding rivets.

Catches (2) must not be damaged or missing.
