11 61 365 Removing and installing/replacing left-hand charge air line (PHEV)

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life

Observe SAFETY INFORMATION for handling electric vehicles.

IMPORTANT: In the event of a leak at the pressure pipe, there is a risk of damage to the turbocharger.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Removal:

Unlocked
Locked

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unlock and detach vacuum line (2).

Unlock snap fastener (3).

Unlock snap fastener (1) and pull charge-air line from charge air cooler.

Slide charge air line towards rear and feed out upwards.

Installation:

IMPORTANT: In the event of a leak at the pressure pipe, there is a risk of damage to the turbocharger.

Check sealing lip (1) for damage.

Installation note:

If sealing lip (1) is damaged, the gasket must be replaced.

Feed in charge air line and slide onto charge air cooler.

The snap fastener (1) must latch audibly into place.

Installation note:

Ensure retaining clip is seated correctly.

Lock must engage.

Slide charge air line onto throttle valve.

The snap fastener (3) must latch audibly into place.

Connect vacuum line (2).

Attach plug connection (1).

Assemble engine.

Check differentiated air intake system for tightness.
