51 71 478 Removing and installing/replacing trim on rear left or right wheel arch

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Version with M Aerodynamic package:

Release rivets (1).

Loosen latch mechanisms from cover (2) around bumpers.

Release the cover (2) at clips (3) and remove.

Installation note:

Apply blind rivets (1) with special tool 00 2 230 .

Ensure cover (2) is correctly seated.

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace clips (2).

Install clips (2) with sealing ring.
