51 71 280 Removing and installing/replacing engine bulkhead

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Engine bulkhead center:

Remove gasket (1) for engine compartment lid.

Release screws (2, 3).

Remove partition wall (4).

Installation note:

Make sure partition wall is correctly positioned.

Engine bulkhead left:

Release expanding rivet (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Unfasten cable clip (3).

Remove partition wall (4).

Installation note:

Replace damaged and missing expanding rivets.

Make sure partition wall is correctly positioned.

Make sure screws are installed in correct positions.

Engine bulkhead right:

Release expanding rivet (3).

Release screws (1, 2).

Remove partition wall (4).

Installation note:

Replace damage or missing expanding rivet (1).

Make sure partition wall is correctly positioned.

Make sure screws are installed in correct positions.
