51 32 211 Replace the rubber window seal for the front left or right door window glass
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove the EXTERIOR MIRROR FROM THE FRONT DOOR .
- Remove FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the TRIM FROM THE WINDOW FRAME OF THE FRONT DOOR .
For Chrome Line Exterior trim and Shadow Line Exterior trim equipment only:
- Remove the FRAME TRIM FROM THE FRONT WINDOW FRAME .
IMPORTANT:
The INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALLATION OF RUBBER WINDOW SEALS serve as the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.
Remove sound insulation (1).
Detach the rubber window seal (1) in direction of arrow from front door (2).
Installation note:
Moisten the rubber window seal (2) with water before fitting.
Installation note:
Rubber window seal (1) must not be damaged in corners (2).
Installation note:
Ensure correct fit of rubber window seal (2) on the window frame (3) and trim on the window frame (1).
