Remove and install/replace transmission oil cooler (S63 B44 T 2) (X5 M)

WARNING: Risk of scalding! Only perform this repair work after engine has cooled down. 
IMPORTANT: When performing repair work on oil circuit, protect alternator against soiling. 

Cover alternator with suitable materials.

Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an alternator malfunction.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Release screws (1).

Remove cover (2).

Remove circlips.

Push lines (1) towards transmission oil cooler. Pull locking ring towards rear and keep pressed.

Detach lines (1) from transmission oil cooler.

IMPORTANT: Catch and dispose of emerging oil.

Lift out left stop pad (1) at radiator core.

Pull out cover (1).

Unclip transmission oil cooler (1) from clamp.

Feed out transmission oil cooler (1) upwards and remove.

Installation: 

Feed in transmission oil cooler (1) and install.

Fasten transmission oil cooler (1) to clamp.

Feed in trim (1) and install.

Feed in stop pad (1) at left onto radiator package and install.

Connect lines (1) to transmission oil cooler.

Lines (1) must latch audibly into transmission oil cooler.

Install snap rings.

Install cover (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 17 10 5AZ. .
