Removing and installing (replacing) right decorative strip on dashboard (X5 M)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 325

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TRIM .

  Release decorative strip (1) from clips (2) using special tool 00 9 325, starting from the outside.

  Lift off decorative strip (1) slightly and disconnect underlying plug connection.

  Remove decorative strip (1).

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clamps (2).

Remount FRESH AIR GRILLE .

Swap over START/STOP SWITCH .
