Remove and install left or right rear door trim panel (X5 M)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 321.
• 00 9 325

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove COVER ON DOOR HANDLE .

  Unfasten catches in area (1) using special tool 00 9 321 and unclip trim (2).

  Release screws (1 and 2).

  Unclip door trim panel (1) at clips (2) using special tool 00 9 325, starting in area of B-pillar.

  Carefully unclip door trim panel (1) at top from retainers (2).

  Disconnect all plug connections.

  Unhook Bowden cable (1) from door lock (2).

Installation note: 

Replace faulty clips (1 and 2).

Fit all clips with sealing ring.

Make sure clips are installed in correct position.

1. Grey clip
2. Light blue clip

Seals (3) must not be missing.

Installation note: 

After assembling the door trim panel proceed as follows: 

• Open side window
• Lock with vehicle key
• Check for ease of movement on locking button linkage
• If necessary, align linkage
