Adjusting rear lid lock for rear lid lower section (X5 M)

Prerequisite:

Unclip trim (1) on left/right.

Installation note:

Catches on trim (1) must not be damaged.

Close lower rear lid section (3) and make sure it is correctly engaged in striker (1) on left/right.

Loosen left/right screws (2).

Press on lower rear lid section (3) until mucket (4) of rear lid (3) is slightly compressed.

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 24 3AZ .

Check closing comfort, repeat procedure if necessary.

NOTE: Pressing lightly on the closed boot lid should not produce any creaking sounds.
