Replacing centering for propeller shaft (X5 M)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary work:

Removal:

Use special tool 2 450 247 for removal of the centering bearing.

Join pin (1) and pin (2) of special tool 2 450 247 into the centering bearing of the propeller shaft.

Twist pin (1) 90° to pin (2).

Join pin (2) between pin (1) and (3) of special tool 2 450 247 into the centering bearing of the propeller shaft.

Twist pin (2) by 90°.

Lock special tool 2 450 247 by twisting the sleeve (1).

Pins (2) are locked with sleeve (1).

Install guide sleeve (1).

Screw spindle (3) with special tool 2 450 247 (2) and support on the guide sleeve (1).

Rotate nut (1) in direction of arrow and pull out of the centering bearing.

Installation:

Installation note:

Remove the grease/water from bore hole.

Drive in centering bearing (1) with special tools 11 2 350 and 00 5 500 into propeller shaft (observe protrusion).
