Removing and installing/replacing guide for bumper, rear left or right (X5 M)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove BUMPER PANEL .

Unscrew bolts (1) Inside wheel arch.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Tightening torque 51 12 3AZ .

Remove guide (3).

Right side only: 

Detach electrical connector (1) and cable retainer (2).

Replacement: 

Swap over EMERGENCY POWER SIREN .

Installation note: 

Latch mechanisms of guide (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Replace faulty sheet metal nuts (2).

Replace defective sealing ring (3).
