52 26 008 Removing and installing/replacing side section of rear seat backrest (through-loading facility) on left or right

Necessary preliminary work:

Removal:

Fold rear seat backrest forwards.

Carefully pull backrest side section forwards slightly.

Unlock latch mechanism (1) with a screwdriver.

Pull backrest side section forwards and remove upwards.

Installation:

Thread guides on backrest side section (1) into body fixtures.

Press backrest side section (1) down so that guides are fitted correctly in fixtures.

Clip in backrest side section (1) at top.

Reposition rear seat backrest.

NOTE: Guides on backrest side section (1) must not be damaged.
