Necessary preliminary work:

Removal:

Version up to 04/2014:

NOTE: For clarity the vehicle is only partially pictured.

Release nuts (1) and screws (2).

Thread cover (3) out.

Installation:

Version up to 04/2014:

Thread cover (3) in.

Tighten nuts (1) and screws (2).

NOTE: in the area of the arrows side sill or front underbody protection overlaps the cover (3).
