51 64 025 Removing and installing/replacing upper front connection

WARNING: Risk of burning!
Only perform work after engine has cooled down.

IMPORTANT: Driving without connection is not permissible (risk of damage to body).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Undo screws (1) from adapter plate.

Tightening torque 51 64 3AZ .

Undo screws (2) from upper rear connection (3).

Tightening torque 51 64 4AZ .

Remove upper rear connection (3) downwards.

Installation note:

Guide lug secures upper rear connection (3) to upper front connection.

Undo screws (2) from radiator air duct.

Tightening torque 51 64 7AZ .

Undo screw (5) from V-strut (4).

Tightening torque 51 64 1AZ .

Remove V-strut (4) downwards.

Undo screws (1) between upper front connection (3) and support for engine compartment lid catch.

Tightening torque 51 64 5AZ .

Remove upper front connection (3) to the left.
