Using vehicle-specific Apps and Apps certified by the BMW Group, the range of functions of the vehicle can be enhanced significantly. For example, web radio or Facebook can be used safely and conveniently in the vehicle. An update to the App or the installation of another compatible App introduces new functions to the vehicle. No changes have to made to the vehicle. BMW thus provides an up-to-date and configure-able offering for all customer groups and markets. The applications can be selected in the menu via BMW Online or BMW Live and can be used immediately. Operation is effected by the controller or the multifunction steering wheel.
