17 51 020 Removing and installing or replacing supplementary coolant pump for inter cooler (N63, S63)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Check stored fault message
Turn off ignition
Remove fan cowl . See 17 11 035 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/RENEWING FAN COWL WITH ELECTRIC FAN (N63) .
Drain coolant for intercooler

Release clamp (1) and detach coolant hose.

Unlock and detach coolant hose (2).

Unlock plug (3) and remove.

Release screw (4).

Remove supplementary coolant pump (5).

After completing work, fill intercooler with coolant.

Vent cooling system for intercooler . See 17...... VENTING COOLING SYSTEM FOR INTERCOOLER (N63) .

Check cooling system for leaks.

Assemble engine.

Read out fault memory of DME control unit.

Delete fault memory.
