54 10 070 Removing And Installing/Replacing Slider Set For Floating Roofliner

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Open floating headlining (2) to the point where the screws (1) are accessible.

Release screws (1) on floating headlining holder.

IMPORTANT: Do not damage floating headlining rocker arm.

Pull tension springs (2) out from under floating headlining holder (1).

Press floating headlining (1) upward in the direction of the arrow.

Pull glider set (2) out of guide rail.

Installation note: 

Observe GREASE INSTRUCTIONS  for replacement parts.

Installation note: 

Tensioning springs (1) must rest correctly in recess of rear floating headlining (2).

Insert white plastic washer on spring-mounted roof side and ensure correct position of the washer (4) with anti-twist lock.

Replace microencapsulated screws.

Tightening torque: 54 12 05AZ .
