51 24 120 Removing and installing/replacing left or right lock for rear lid lower section

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove TRIM FOR REAR LID LOWER SECTION

Security vehicles:

Remove rear lid lower section armor-plating

Disconnect Bowden cable (1 or 2).

Bowden cable for right lock
Bowden cable for left lock

Release screws (1).

Feed out lock (2) with Bowden cable (3).

Installation:

Make sure Bowden cable (3) is in correct position.

Tightening torque 51 24 2AZ .
