11 71 101 Removing and installing or replacing low-pressure exhaust-gas recirculation radiator (M57T2-SCR)

WARNING: Risk of burning!
Only perform this repair work on an engine that has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary work: 

Release and remove intake pipe (1) between air filter housing and turbocharger.

Release clamp (2).

Tightening torque: 11 71 3AZ .

Detach coolant hoses (3) from EGR cooler.

Release screws (4) on EGR cooler and remove EGR cooler.

Tightening torque: 11 71 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Replace all gaskets.

Assemble engine.

vent cooling system.

Check cooling system for water leaks. See 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR WATER LEAKS (M57TU, M57T2) .
