12 41 020 Removing and installing/replacing starter motor (M57TU, M57T2)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative terminal.
Remove transmission underbody protection

Slacken nut (1).

Slacken nut (2).

Release screws (1).

Press starter motor (1) forwards and swivel past engine carrier.
