61 12 013 Replacing negative battery lead

Follow instructions for DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Follow instructions on INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR (IBS) .
IMPORTANT: Do not under any circumstances pull or lever off intelligent battery sensor (IBS) by force.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Slacken nut (2) and detach intelligent battery sensor (IBS) and battery lead (3) from negative terminal.

Tightening torque 61 21 1AZ .

If necessary, detach cable strap for battery negative lead from positive battery cable.

Undo nut (4) and remove battery lead (3).

Tightening torque 61 21 4AZ .
