24 21 517 Replacing radial shaft seal for drive shaft (AISIN F22AW)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove the TRANSMISSION .
- Remove the TORQUE CONVERTER .
Removal:
Punch a hole in radial shaft seal (1) at position (2) with center punch.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use a drill as drillings may result in transmission malfunction.
Screw special tool 23 0 490 into radial shaft seal (1).
Drive radial shaft seal (1) out with impact weight (3).
Installation:
Clean sealing surface.
Lubricate sealing lip of shaft seal with clean transmission oil.
Push the radial shaft seal onto the special tool 2 408 636 and drive in up to the limit position using the handle 2 413 037 .
IMPORTANT:
Do not damage radial shaft seal (1).
Required follow-up work:
- Install the TORQUE CONVERTER .
- Install the TRANSMISSION .
