00 11 229 Oil change in the manual transmission (GS6-58/59 BG/DG)

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of leakage transmission oil.

Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations

Preliminary work needed:

Remove the FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION

NOTE: Transmission is at normal operation temperature.

Attention!

Use only the approved transmission oil. Refer to: MANUAL TRANSMISSION - OPERATING FLUIDS

Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.

The vehicle must be parked on a level surface in the workshop during transmission oil filling.

Unscrew oil drain plug (1) and allow oil to flow out completely.

Clean oil drain plug and reinstall.

Tightening torque, refer to: 23 00 2AZ .

Unscrew filler/fluid level monitoring connector (2) and fill the transmission until the oil overflows. Allow excess oil to drain and reinstall filler/fluid level monitoring connector.

Tightening torque, refer to: 23 00 2AZ .
