Checking for traffic safety
- Carry out a test drive in order to check the service and electromechanical parking brakes
- Check steering for play, ease of movement and directional stability
- If necessary, check that clutch disengages cleanly and that the vehicle drives off smoothly with the engine at operating temperature
- Visually inspect shock absorbers for leaks
- Check indicator/warning lamps and Check Control system for correct operation
- Check due date for statutory road worthiness and exhaust emission tests and advise customer of test dates
