13 71 035 Remove clean air pipe (B46, B48)

Necessary preliminary work:

Removal:

Release expansion rivet (1).

Release screw (2).

Remove partition wall (3).

Loosen screw (1).

Lay the cover (2) of the positive battery connection point to one side.

Release the screws along the arrows and remove the tension strut (1).

Unlock the lock (2) and release the cable clip (1) and place to one side.

Release the cable clip (2) from cover (1) and lay to one side.

Feed out cover (1) and remove.

Unlock cable clips (1) and release.

Unfasten screws (2).

Unclip fuel line from holder (3).

Remove upper bulkhead (4).

Release screw (3).

Unlock and disconnect line (1) on the clean air pipe.

Release line (2) and disconnect from cylinder head cover.

Unlock and release clamp (1) on the clean air pipe (2).

Raise clean air pipe (1), unlock and disconnect connector (2) from heating element.

Release clamp (3) at the rear of the clean air pipe (1).

Remove clean air pipe.

Preparation for installation:

Replace molded sealing ring (1) on the exhaust turbocharger.

Installation:

Attach clamp (3) at the rear of the clean air pipe (1).

Then attach connector (2) to the heating element and lock.

Connector (2) must snap audibly into place.

Install clean air pipe.

Connect clamp (1) to clean air pipe (2) and lock.

Clamp (1) must audibly snap into place.

Tighten screw (3).

Tightening torque 13 71 6AZ .

Connect line (1) to clean air pipe and lock.

Connect line (2) to cylinder head cover and lock.

Lines must audibly engage.

Install upper bulkhead (4).

Connect cable clips (1) and lock.

Clip fuel line onto holder (3).

Tighten down screws (2).

Feed in and install the cover (1).

Attach cable clips (2) to the cover (1).

Install cable clips (1).

Lock (2) must snap audibly into place.

Install tension strut (1).

Tighten screws along arrows.

Tightening torque 17 10 8AZ .

Install the cover (2) of the positive battery connection point.

Tighten screw (1).

Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
Install INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
Install STRUT BRACE .
