51 43 201 Removing and installing or replacing trim for roof pillar at front (A-pillar), left or right

WARNING: Follow safety instructions for WORKING ON VEHICLES WITH AIRBAG SYSTEMS .

IMPORTANT: Do not use a sharp-edged removal tool on the trim panel (risk of damage to head airbag).

Removal:

Lever out cover (1) and undo screw underneath.

Unclip trim panel (2) from clips (3) and guide out from instrument panel in an upward direction.

Installation:

NOTE: Lift out any clips (3) remaining in the body and insert into the trim panel.
Replace faulty clips (3).

Guide trim panel (2) into instrument panel.

Clip in trim panel (2) into clips (3).

NOTE: Make sure trim panel (2) is correctly seated against the edge protection.

Tighten down screw.

Tightening torque 51 43 4AZ .
