51 16... Removing and installing (replacing) the center storage compartment trim

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 327

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Removal: 

Lever out and remove the insert (1) using special tool 00 9 327  .

Release screw (2).

Lever out the trim (3) from the clamps (4) towards the rear using special tool 00 9 327  .

Disconnect the plug connections and remove the trim (3).

Replacement: 

• Remount 12 V POWER SOCKET .
• REMOUNT USB AUDIO INTERFACE CONNECTING SOCKET .

Installation: 

Install the trim (3) and connect the plug connections.

Engage the trim (3) with the clamps (4).

Tighten screw (2).

Tightening torque 51 16 7AZ .

Insert the insert (1).
