Detach alternator 2 and set it aside

Precondition 

Battery ground leads are disconnected.

• Unlock and disconnect the connector (1)  from the alternator.

• Unscrew the bolts (1)  below the alternator.

• Loosen screw (1)  .
• Set the coolant line aside.

• Protect the radiator from damage with a cover (e.g. panel or cardboard).
• Unscrew the bolts (1)  above the alternator.
• Pull the alternator (2)  slightly forward and set it aside.
• Protect the alternator (2)  from falling.
