Installing the front bumper (for equipment specification with additional radiator)

Install bumper cover, front 

• Install the bumper cover (1).
• Engage the bumper cover (1) in the area of the upper active air-flap control (2) in the mountings.

• Connect connector (1) on the right side and lock it.
• Attach plug connection (1) in holder (2).
• Connect the hose for the headlight cleaning system.

• Tighten down screws (1).

Screw	tightening torque	3 Nm

• Tighten down screws (1).

Underbody protection

Install front ornamental grille 

Precondition 

Engine compartment lid is open.

• G11/G12 until 3.19, G30/G31/F90 until 7.20 or G38 until 9.20: 

  Check all detents for damage; if necessary, replace the front ornamental grille (1).

  Position front ornamental grille (1) at the upper three latch mechanisms.

  Latch mechanisms not yet  locked.

• Press the front ornamental grille (1) downward in the area of the headlight in the arrow direction until the bottom detents snap in.

• Press on all locking positions of the front ornamental grille (1) until all latch mechanisms are audibly engaged.

• G11/G12 from 3.19, G30/31/F90 from 7.20 or G38 from 9.20: 

  Check all the detents (2) for damage and replace the radiator grille (1) if necessary.

  Position front ornamental grille (1) on the top detents (2).

  Latch mechanisms (2) not yet  locked.

  Position front ornamental grille (1) on the lower detents.

  Latch mechanisms not yet  locked.

  Press on all locking positions of the front ornamental grille (1) until all latch mechanisms are audibly engaged.

• Take a tensile sample on the front ornamental grille (1).
• Take a kidney grille bar in each hand, as shown, and pull on them to check the firm fit of the front ornamental grille (1).
• If necessary, press the front ornamental grille (1) on at all the detents again.

Installing front section of the front wheel arch cover (partially removed) 

• Mount front wheel arch cover (1).
• Tighten screws (arrows).

screw	Tightening torque	3 Nm
Plastic nut	Tightening torque	2.6 Nm
