Remove the center tailgate trim strip
- Loosen the trim strip (1) on the center of the tailgate to the rear from the detents (2) left and right using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) .
- Loosen the trim strip (1) over its entire length from the adhesive strips and remove.
- Remove adhesive residue from the tail light at the tailgate center.
