Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH C-PILLAR TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to REMOVING TRIM FOR AUXILIARY BRAKE LIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING AUXILIARY BRAKE LIGHT .
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Secure cable to rear window with adhesive tape.
- Equipment specification with rear air conditioning:
Loosen expanding rivet (1).
Push the connection (2) upwards.
Remove the air duct (3).
- Unfasten nut (1).
- Secure cable (2) to the rear window.
- Equipment specification with rear air conditioning:
Loosen expanding rivet (1).
Push the connection (2) upwards.
Remove the air duct (3).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Secure cable (2) to rear window with adhesive tape.NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Unclip the water guide (1) using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325)
.
- Tape off body in area of piercing point with fabric adhesive tape.
- Push the thread (1) through the adhesive bead along the line from the inside.
- Cut out the rear window with spider.
