Preparing New Part

• Make severance cut (1)  on new part of the side frame in accordance with severance cut on vehicle.

• Remove the adhesive residues in areas (1)  to (3)  on the vehicle.
• Prepare areas (1)  and (2)  for joining by welding.
  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• In area (1)  , be aware of double the number of welding spots, due to the spot-welded adhesive joints of the series.

  Prepare area (1)  for spot welding and plug-welds. Prepare plug welding at inner sill.

• In the area (2)  , observe spot-welded adhesive joints between inner sill and floor panel. Prepare the area (2)  in such a way that the repair welding spots can be set on the series welding spots on the vehicle.

• Prepare area (3)  for structure bonding steel on steel.
• Remove the adhesive residues in areas (1)  on the vehicle.
• Prepare areas (1)  and (2)  for joining by welding.
• Prepare areas (1)  for joining by spot welding and by punching sheet metal. Be aware of double the number of welding spots, due to the spot-welded adhesive joints of the series. Prepare plug welding at A-pillar-inner part.

• Prepare a reinforcement plate (2)  for the removed aperture (1)  .
• Perform the operation for all removed apertures (1)  .

• Prepare areas (2)  for structure bonding steel on steel.
• Prepare areas (3)  for joining by welding.
• Adjust reinforcement plate (1)  .

• Adjust new part to fit with alignment bracket or universal mount and secure.
• Prepare areas (1)  and (2)  for joining by welding.
• In area (1)  , be aware of double the number of welding spots, due to the spot-welded adhesive joints of the series.

• Prepare areas (1)  and (2)  for joining by welding.
• Prepare the joining areas (2)  in such a way that the repair welding spots can be set on the series welding spots on the vehicle.
• The sequence welded joint (3)  is not used and is replaced by the welded connection (4)  .

Renew T-bolt 

• Take the quantity and position from the component to be renewed.
• Renew T-bolts (1)  .

  Parts:  T-bolt

• Weld the T-bolt (1)  onto the new part.
