Install Outer Wheel Arch Section With Reinforcement

Use only approved spot welder for repair.

Use only approved spot welder for repair.

- Clean bonding surfaces (1) using solvent cleaner R1.
- Apply adhesive K1 to bonding surfaces (1).
- Install new part and rivet the part in the areas (1) using blind rivet N11.
- Weld the new part in areas (2).
While doing so, avoid excessive application of heat to bonded rivet areas (1) and (3).
- Weld new part in the areas (1).
Avoid excessive heat input to adhesive areas (2).
- Weld new part in the areas (1).
- Install new part (2) and weld in the area (1). Avoid excessive application of heat to adhesive area (3).

For additional information see: 41 00... Installation of a cavity sealing (not expanding) - Apply sealant to cavity sealing (2) and install cavity sealing.
- Clean bonding surface (2) using solvent cleaner R1.
- Apply K1 adhesive to bonding surface.
- Install new part (3) and rivet with blind rivet N11.
Do not position blind rivets in area (1).
