- Adjust new parts with an alignment bracket or a universal fixture and secure.
- Prepare areas (1) for the structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For additional information see: 41 00... Transferring hole pattern. - Transfer the hole pattern of the punch rivets from the engine mount to the carrier support in areas (1).
- Drill out holes to dia. 6.8 mm.
- Prepare areas (1) for the structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum.
- In areas (1), transfer the holes of the punch rivets onto the new part and drill out to Ø 6.8 mm for blind rivets.
- Adjust new part (1) and prepare areas and (2) and (3) for joining by welding.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

- Prepare areas (3) and (4) for the structural adhesive bonding of steel on aluminum.
- Transfer the holes of the punch rivets in areas (3) onto the new part and drill out to Ø 6.8 mm for blind rivets.
- In area (4), make 1 additional hole of Ø 6.8 mm for the blind rivet.
- Prepare areas (1) and (2) for joining by welding.
- In areas (2), note the procedure for the replacement of the spot-welded adhesive joints for the series production.
Maintain a sufficient distance setting from the bonded rivet connections in areas (3) in the process.
Check ground pins and replace if necessary
NOTE:

- Check the ground pins (1) for stability and renew if necessary.
Replacing the coarse thread bolt and threaded weld bolts (steel surface)
NOTE:

- Renew the coarse thread bolt (1) and the threaded weld bolt (2).
Parts: Coarse thread bolt, threaded weld bolt
Take the number and position from the component to be replaced or the add-ons.
- Weld the coarse thread bolt (1) and threaded weld bolt (2) onto the new part.
