61 31 197 Removing and installing/replacing center console operating unit (manual transmission)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 323

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Partially remove SELECTOR LEVER KNOB

Carefully pry center console operating unit (1) out of center console trim (2) using special tool 00 9 323 with special tool.

Disconnect underlying plug connections and remove center console operating unit (1).

Installation: 

Fasteners (1) must not become damaged.

Make sure rocker center console operating unit is correctly seated.
