11 28 010 Replacing drive belt for alternator (N55)
Special tools required:
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove FAN COWL with electric fan.
Routing of drive belt without Dynamic Drive
NOTE:
Mark the direction of travel of the drive belt if it is to be reused.
Turn belt tensioner (1) in direction of arrow until bore hole (2) is aligned with belt tensioner and crankcase.
Hold belt tensioner (1) under tension.
Secure with special tool 11 0 390 .
Remove drive belt (3).
Routing of drive belt with Dynamic Drive
NOTE:
Mark the direction of travel of the drive belt if it is to be reused.
Turn belt tensioner (2) in direction of arrow until bore hole is aligned with belt tensioner and crankcase.
Hold belt tensioner (2) under tension.
Secure with special tool 11 0 390 .
Remove drive belt (3).
Assemble engine.
Installation note:
Check drive belt for correct installation position and, if reusing, observe direction of travel. Risk of damage .
