51 17 101 Removing and installing/replacing left and right trim strip on cover for soft top compartment lid

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Slacken bolts (1) and remove trim strip (2).

Installation note:

Trim strip (1) may not be fitted from above on cover for soft top compartment lid (2).

Here the sealing lip (3) is pressed out and gap dimensions may not be observed.

Insert trim strip (1) from the front onto cover for soft top compartment lid (2).

Installation note:

Ensure correct gap dimension (X).

Dimension (X):

0.5 ± 0.5 mm
1 ± 0.5 mm
0 ± 0.5 mm

Screwing sequence:

Tighten down screws (1-12).

Install adapter (A).

Tighten down screws (13 and 14).

Tightening torque 51 17 12AZ .
