54 34... Special tool lifting gear F12

Special tools required:

To remove the soft top, the universal lifting gear for the F12 must be combined with specifically matching individual tools.

NOTE: Observe OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS for universal lifting gear without fail.

The lifting gear 54 3 240 consists of the following separate components:

54 3 241 Longitudinal tube with lifting eyelet and bolts
54 3 242 Transverse bar
54 3 243 Bracket left and right

in conjunction with:

54 3 250 Adapter with chain and hook left and right
54 3 260 Adapter with counter support left and right
54 3 270 Shaped element for counter support left and right
2 210 961 Lifting gear adapter (shackle) on left and right

Screw shaped element 54 3 270 to adapter with counter support 54 3 260 left and right.

IMPORTANT: Use lifting gear and assembly carrier only in conjunction with BMW WJN.10 workshop crane (special lifting arm with 1690 mm arm length ) or a crane with comparable specifications.

Lifting gear settings specifically for F12:

Adjust lifting eye measured nine holes from rear on longitudinal tube.

Secure adjustment with ball locking pin.

Adjust left and right extension arms measured ten holes from outside on cross-beam.

Secure adjustment with ball locking pin.

Adjust adapter with chain (1) in specified hole on extension arm.

Secure adjustment with ball locking pin.

Adjust adapter with counter holder (2) measured four holes from adapter chain on extension arm.

Secure adjustment with ball locking pin.

Adjust threaded rod left and right.

Protrusion of threaded rod = 130 mm.

Secure adjustment with lock nut.
