51 21 330 Removing and installing/renewing weather strip on inner front door

IMPORTANT: The "Instructions on installation of window guides" serve as the basis for this repair instructions and must be observed without fail. See 51 00... NOTES ON FITTING WINDOW GUIDE SEALS .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front door trim panel. See 51 41 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Release weather strip (1) in rear area of retaining elements (2).

Detach weather strip (1) from front door (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Ensure that weather strip (1) has the right installation position on front door (3).

Installation note:

Shaped part (1) and retaining elements (2) of weather strip (3) must not be damaged.

Shaped part (1) must be correctly threaded into the front door.

Moisten weather strip (3) before installation with approved lubricant. See 51 00... NOTES ON FITTING WINDOW GUIDE SEALS (lubricant G13).
