51 11... Removing and installing/replacing chrome strip in bumper panel (side)

Special tools required: 

• 64 1 020

Necessary preliminary work: 

Remove front bumper panel. See 51 11 156 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) FRONT BUMPER PANEL .

Release all retaining lugs on chrome strip (1) with special tool 64 1 020 .

Release latch mechanisms (1) and remove chrome strip towards front.

Installation note: 

Retaining lugs (1) and (2) on chrome strip (3) must not be damaged or missing.
