65 12 220 Removing and installing/replacing the SDARS (SDARS), (US version from 09/2009 only)
Preliminary work needed:
For equipment specification with head unit:
- Remove head unit. Refer to 65 12 320 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) HEAD UNIT BASIS or 65 12 315 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) HEAD UNIT HIGH (HU-H) .
When replacing, please observe:
Note SID number (1) of the removed device.
NOTE:
The SID number (1) can be found on the label of the housing. Location may be different, depending on the equipment manufacturer.
Note SID number (1) of the new device in the same way.
Input the enabling code (obtainable via BMW).
Replacement:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/CODING .
NOTE:
Please contact Sirius. Use the SID number to cancel current device and register new one.
